This is ablack paper-based water-resistant tape with a natural rubber adhesive which isideal for the repair/replacement of missing, cracked, or damaged binding tape on glass magic lantern slides.This tape can also be used for blocking out unwanted portions of an image (such as the borders) to get a cleaner projection image for your slides. This tape provides moderate resistance to UV light (although slides probably don't need UV protection at the edges where binding tape is used). This tape can easily be torn by hand (but perfectionists will want to use scissors to get clean cuts).

PLEASE NOTE: When repairing lantern slides,many peopletry to match the original tape used. In my experience, paper-based tapes like this one are themost common style of tape used for magic lantern slides.This tape is verysimilar, but not identical, to the tape used for Keystone and othersimilarlantern slides. NOTE: It has more of a crepe surface (wrinkled surface) than the original tapes, which tend to have either a very flat surface or a linen-style surface. Please check my listings for other styles of binding tape, including vinyl tape.
