ITEM: You are offerding on an antique original late 1940s - 50s advertising pin-up girl ashtray likely made by the Louis F. Dow Calendar Company of Saint Paul Mn. A tin lithographed original antique example the model is styled after Jane Russell as posed by Zoe Mozert in the Howard Hughes film The Outlaw, sort of a over the top take on the farmers daughter imagery and gag sight-line that was resonating during those years. But this model is is not Jane - with advertising for "Tony & John's Shell Service Station" in Park Ridge Illinois.
