ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER: Peter Read Miller has been photographing athletes, events and the sporting life for more than 40 years. A former staff photographer for Sports Illustrated for 20 years, his images have appeared on more than 100 Sports Illustrated covers. Peter\'s recent advertising work includes photography for Canon\'s Rebel XTsi campaign \"Photography is a Journey\", created by Grey Worldwide. He photographed the brochures for the Rebel XT, XTi and XTsi. His award winning photo of San Diego Charger LaDainian Tomlinson has appeared in photography magazines as part of Canon\'s \"Exactly what I was thinking\" campaign. Peter has also shot advertising for Nike, Adidas, Visa, Coca-Cola, Footlocker, Eastman Kodak, ABC Television, Panasonic, and The National Football League. His editorial clients have included Time, Life People, Money, Playboy, Runner\'s World, Newsweek, USA Weekend, and The New York Times. In additon to covering 8 Olympic games and 39 Super Bowls, Peter has shot 14 NBA Finals, Stanley Cup Finals, World Series, Kentucky Derby, NCAA Final Four, Men\'s and Women\'s World Cup Soccer Finals and the World Championship of Freestyle Wrestling in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia. He has shot portraits of numerous world famous athletes including: Muhammed Ali, Joe Montana, Ivan Ivankov, Renaldo, John Wooden, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Barry Bonds, John Elway, LeBron James, Gabriella Reece, Shaquille O\'Neal,and Kathy Ireland. Peter teaches a yearly sports photography workshop in Denver, CO. He has also taught at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops and Rick Clarkson\'s Sport Photography Workshop. Peter\'s recent speaking engagements have included the Los Angeles Chapter of the Advertising Photographers of America, The Wisconsin News Photographers Association, SEPCON and WPPA, Photoshop World, Imaging USA, Photo Plus and the Southern Short Course. He has lectured at San Jose State, the Rocky Mountain School of Photography, the University of Tennessee, the University of Colorado, and Brooks Institute of Photography. Peter is the 2006 winner of the Dave Boss Award of Excellence- Photographer of the Year awarded by the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He is a member of Canon\'s \"Explorers of Light\" program and he is a Western Digital \"Creative Master\". Peter lives is Manhattan Beach, California.
