This is Portia Pig,asort-of, head vase,made by the Betty Lou Nichols’ studio in California. A very stylish pig, all dressed up for the St. Patrick’s Day parade, she is 7 3/8” at her tallest, and is marked as shown, on the bottom. She has 4 flakes that have been “color-camouflaged” sometime in the past, and are not very noticeable (red arrows and circles in pics). Some of the bottom of her jacket hem in the back has glaze roughness. There are a couple of stray black spots (back head closeup). There is glaze crazing throughout. And there is the remainder of felt padding on the bottom. Description overkill for a scarce piece that is really in very good shape !!

**** ADDITION *** Actually, as I look at the picsposted,in the front on close-up, the3 little dark spots along the brim at the points are 3 of them, but the light caught them just right, creating shadows- they aren't as noticeableseeing the piecein person.
