This sale is for a very fine pair of Chinese Export Silver wine cups, complete with their glass liners. Made and signed by Woshing, Shanghai, these cups date from the late 19th century (see photo of mark on bottom). The shop of Woshing is one of the finest Chinese silver shops and they worked from the 1870's until approx. 1910. The cups are made of openwork silver with a design of prunus branches, 3 auspicious symbols and bamboo form handles. The quality of work is excellent, ( note the hand chased details on the blossoms).Each cup measures 5 cm. high (to the top curve of the handle). Both cups are in excellent condition with no dings, dents or damage. Both glass liners are also in excellent condition.
