This Catalog is breathtaking
This outstanding and rare catalog in perfect condition was
PERSONALLY HAND-SIGNED DIRECTLY ON THE PAGE AFTER THE CONTENTS PAGE BY PRINCESS DIANA.
This is the authentic hand signature of Diana, Princess of Wales.
It comes together with a letter from the person who obtained the signature. It states that Diana was in New York City in late June 1997, where she stayed at the Carlisle Hotel. She would not sign there and there was heavy security.
She was going to have lunch at the Four Seasons Restaurant, where there would be no police barriers, but one could not get near her.
When she noticed that someone was seeking her signature, she told her security to take the catalog and she got in her car where she signed it.
The third page of the catalog shows a letter written and signed by Diana and on pages 186 and 187 a photo of the Royal couple with President Reagan and the First Lady a hand-written note, signed by the Reagan’s is shown.
Both are Facsimile prints and contained in every copy of the catalog.
The handwritten words,
‘With love from Diana’
however is authentic and unique, written by Diana in person and contained only in this copy.
This must be one of her last signatures before her tragic death in August in August 1997, only two months after the Christie’s sale.
The catalog comes with provenance in the form of a letter from David Kelly the gentleman that had the catalog signed for him.
A Certificate of Authenticity from Michael Konig German Book Dealer that he guarantees that the signature is 100% authentic will accompany the book
This is a rare find as Diana did not sign many soft cover catalogs.
