THANK YOU for considering our spotless and sparkling clean, dead accurate and great running condition Illinois early-style “Bunn Special” model, 18 size, open face, 21 jewels, adjusted to temperature and 6 positions, Model 6, Grade Bunn Special, double roller, huge cupped gold jewel settings, all-gold balance screws, full “gold circle pattern” nickel plate, stem wind, lever set railroad-grade movement. This fine and always well received early fancy Bunn Special model is in excellent working order, with a dead flat and true balance wheel motion that has a fine, wide arc and strong, steady beat. The movement is a smooth wind, starts right up on my 8th wind with no jiggling, and lever sets as designed. The movement holds time within 30 seconds per week face-up after careful and prolonged hand-regulating before dis-assembly! Appearance-wise this outstanding Bunn Special movement is looking top-notch, with bright, clean full nickel plates with sharp, distinct gold circle damascene pattern standing out and faded but discernible copper toning and 100% of the delicate black engraving paint intact in the “Old English” letters and numbers, spotless and correct elongated “Reed” regulator needle and whip, super clean and well-maintained looking inside and out, and ripping and running holding railroad time! The movement does show very minor and ordinary wear with no signs of abuse! It will be a great acquisition for the lucky top buyer!
