Rare, gorgeous, antique, door knobs made of solid, heavy, thick, cast bronze--not plated iron. The pair comes with 1 standard 1/4" thick spindle (connecting rod) and 2 setscrews.

Each knob has an Aesthetic (Eastlake) style, floral pattern on both front and back sides. The designs are complemented by a rich, dark patina, which we opted to leave. One knob has an auburn-colored patina and the other an honey-brown patina; there is verdigris in the recessed areas, in between the details. If you prefer your hardware bright and shiny or at least with a uniform finish, we could clean and polish the knobs either completely or partially, foran additional $15--let us know after the sale if you are interested.

Although I\'m uncertain of their manufacturer, judging by the style and construction of these knobs, I estimate that they were made during the 1870\'s. Considering that they have been used for so long, they are in excellent condition with no breaks, cracks, chips or deep scratches. The only issue with them is that their casting shows wear. After being grabbed thousands of times, their details are not as crisp anymore.
