This sale isfor a pair ofantiqueAmerican Reed and Barton Sterling SilverCandlesticks.Eack stickis marked on the bottom of the base withletter "R" in a shield held up by a lion on the right and eagle on the left. below those marks is a "Sterling" and below it is another American Eagle.Inaddition to those marks bottom bears astamp "(c)ement reenforced".Alltransition jointsdone in repoussedecorations,top cups areremovable.They stand on wide base weighted plinths, and although weighted there is not much room for cement, meaning there is mostly silver present. Very goodquality, please see all the photos.Condition good,no dents, no monograms,light scratches and age wear, one leaning over slightly (can be straighten out, but we leave that to new owner). Lovely pair starting for a Penny !
