The plates have a patent date of April 11, 1882 and are also marked 2970 1/4 and 1364. Probably made by Sergeant or Corbin or one of the other premier US makers.
They are in fine condition. The plate that was on the outside has a light bend by a bottom screw hold, a remnant of a screw and a very dark patina. Quality hardware. Thanks for looking.
