ITEM - A pair of beautiful translucent jadeite bangles with vivid veins of a consistant colour throughout the A light emerald or apple green with a white translucency quality can be seen natural light, under brighter lighting the white translucency is more prominant with light vivid green colouring through the Grade A untreated pair of precious Jadeite The bangles are a beautiful original pair and they show plently of similarities.

AGE - Antique / vintage, Qing dynasty - early / mid Republic period, based partly on consignor collection travelling through China and surrounding areas during mid 20th century.

CONDITION - Both bangles in good condition, general wear with age, no breaks or repairs either bangles.

Thisweek our Antique sale House has received an estate

consignment, this is only the second consignment requested to

be sold online, as to be offered to larger market.

Depending on the outcome of this initial lot, a second lot and so

on will also be listed online.

The provenance of the items from the family of the collectors

estate detail extensive World travel, particularly travel throughout

Asia with a majority of destinations being China and Japan,

particular Guangdong (Canton) and Kyoto during the late 50's

and 60's.

The collection continued to grow until his later years and over 40

years of trading antiques amassed an extensive assortment of

antiques.

The antiques in the collection were obtained after service in the

Australian army in 1941.The estates executor / family is in

proceedings to obtain his three official service medals and

hopefully we will receive more information about the estate of

which we will update in listings.

The serviceman turned collector is known for active combat in

World War II, particularly during active service in Libya and the,

'Siege of Tobruk'.

In so doing, they achieved lasting fame as the “Rats of Tobruk”.

Most of the collection was sold as a complete war memorabilia

estate lot at a specialty sale house in Sydney, Australia,

although we were pleased to receive the majority of the Asian

antique collection to be sold online.

All of the items in this listing came out of the above mentioned

Australian estate.
