Pair Of Hanau German Etched Crystal And Silver Decanters With Satyr Finials For Sale
Fine Matching pair of etched Decanters from a Vermont Estate. They stand just over 12 in tall, 6 in wide and 2.5 in thick. They have the pseudo marks for the Hanau firm of Storck and Sinsheimer who were famed for silver mounted glass vessels. These have pierced and molded scrollwork with cherubs and other figures and florals around the base, up the sides and around the neck (see pictures). They are mounted with a silver stopper with a nude Satyr.
Condition:
Missing small section of scrollwork on one side of on decanter (see images), one cork is broken at the top but the stopper is made so that there is a threaded screw through the middle with a nut which holds the cork in place so it is still quite serviceable. Aside from these two issues, the decanters are in excellent condition.
