Offered is a pair of gilded Lobmeyr 19th century blown glass decanters. Unfortunately both stoppers are damaged. One was broken at the thinnest part of the stem and glued back together. The other remains in two pieces and needs some work to get it to function again because the two pieces do not line up.
The decanter with the stopper intact is 13 1/2 inches tall. The gilding is in good shape with little wear. The side is monogramed with intials. The clarity is very good with only extremely light residue.
The matching decanter has a handle. This measures 10 3/4 inches tall. There is more internal residue in this decanter, but still decent for its age. The handle has been checked for damage and there is none.
Both pieces are marked in gold with the Lobmeyr insignia.
All glass and pottery items are carefully bubble wrapped. We will gladly double box on request for an extra charge to cover increased postage fees and materials. If you request double boxing, please wait until you receive a revised invoice before paying.

A word about shipping costs...We charge what we feel the post office will charge us for shipping. The amount we pay to the post office does not include insurance. We pay for insurance directly to Auctiva Corp. If you see a lesser amount on the metered post office strip on your package, that is probably the reason for the difference.
A word about postage options....We usually ship via US Mail. In order to save customers money on shipping, we use Parcel Select to minimize shipping costs on larger or heavier items. The post office has been taking 12-14 days to deliver some items that we have shipped via Parcel Select. If you need quicker delivery on larger packages, their rates increase dramatically. If you prefer to pay for Priority Mail, we will be glad to accommodate you.
A word about offers to purchase....All our sales will run for the length of time specified. We do not end sales early unless there is an error in our ad. This keeps the sale format fair to all buyers.
