Pair Of Vintage Perrier Rules Of Golf Prints Nos Xii And Xiii:
For sale are 2 colorful golf caricatures from a series illustrated by Charles Crombie, British sports artist from the early 20th century. Initially distributed in the early 1900s in a set of 24 by Perrier, the French sparkling water company. The age of the framing indicated these copies are from the mid-1960s, well printed, and not a recent lazer printer reproduction. I believe they were printed in England. The prints portray Edwardian golfers in various situations and an associated "rule of golf". Below the prints are a relevant Shakespearean verses in English and French.
These 2 prints, numbers 12 and 13, are in excellent condition. They were found in an attic at an estate sale, both framed (approximately 10 1/2 x13 inches). The glass in the frame will not be included to preclude possible damage to to the print.
