Pair of Vintage Prinknash Abbey Pottery Tankards. These two beautiful tankards are both in remarkable condition for their suspected age of at least thirty years. They could be much older. The Prinknash Abbey produced such works with clay found on the property from 1942 until the Monks sold the company to Welch Porcelain Co in1990. Research mentions the unique red local clay as being responsible for the metallic looking finish. The pieces appear as though they were used for display. Really great condition. Tried to show this in the pics. Picture #6 was done with flash to show how clean the insides were. Strongly recommend shipping USPS Flat Rate Medium Box after careful packaging.
