Pair Of Small Antique Cloisonne Enamel Japanese Vases -meiji Period.:
These delicate cloisonne vasesare very light fortheir size, whichis a sign of quality along withthe very fine cloisonne work. The brown/amber coloured ground have gold sparkles. It is decorated withbutterflies and flowersmotifswith further flowers in small shields around the shoulder. The body of the vases is made out of copper as well as the wire of the cloisonne. The base is not enamelled but the inside is with a deep blue/green colour. It is rare to find such fine examples of Meiji cloisonne vases in such good condition.
