Panasonic Flip Clock Radio Model Rc 6025 Groundhog Day Movie - With Movie Song For SaleThis is a vintage Panasonic RC-6025 Radio Alarm Flip Clock as featured in the 1993 Bill Murray Classic, "Groundhog Day" also staring Andie Macdowell, Chris Elliot, and Stephen Tobolowsky (Ned Ryerson - "Bing"). The clocks were considered "retro" when the movie was made, as they were about 20 years old at the time. ... That was 20 years ago! This clock is around 40 years old and running great. The lamp that lights the numbers has been replaced but otherwise it is in very good vintage condition. And Most Importantly .... It will alarm to the radio show Phil Conners had to wake to day after day after day. That's right Campers! It will play the Sonny and Cher song along with the DJs from the movie (long version). The sound comes out of the original speaker. There are no batteries to replace or any other need to open the clock. Buttons on the back of the clock allow playing 3 other clips from the movie.
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION (READ BEFORE offerDING): PayPal ONLY. Immediate payment required! There will be absolutely no returns or refunds. NONE. To configure this clock to play the song from the movie took many hours of planning and work. I cannot have someone buy this clock to learn how to engineer one for themselves, then try to return the clock. However, if you have any problems with the clock I'd be more than happy to help you resolve the problem. I will repair the clock for free within 30 days after payment received (but it won't need it!). This clock has been running non-stop since I finished the conversion with no problems, keeping perfect time.
ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL BUYERS Shipping is NOT free outside of the US. I am charging a flat $65.00 to ship internationally. This is very reasonable as it is near my actual cost, not including all the extra time and effort it requires to ship out of the US.
More Details: All the new parts in this clock were placed in such a way, that anyone (who knew what they were doing) could safely remove all traces of the additional electronics and return this clock to an original state. But who would want to do that!!! The clock is awesome. Before I did this, the first question people would ask was, "Does it play the song from the movie?" Well, it does now!! It even produces the audible "click" just before the song plays, just like in the movie. The "click" is the sound of the mechanical switch tripping to set off the alarm. It's perfect!
The clock was completely disassembled and cleaned. The circuit board and all electronic components were cleaned and all electrical contacts cleaned and properly lubricated with only the best products made for this purpose. The volume control produces no static when adjusted, AM and FM work well, tuning is very good on this clock. The clock keeps surprisingly good time for a electrical/mechanical clock!
The body of the clock has only slight blemishes and has good color - no yellowing. The clock is in very good condition for a 40 year old!. The clock face is clear, no severe scratches or cracks. The buttons were recently replaced with original, nearly mint buttons. They are not refinished - this is nearly the original white color!Better Buy Now! Remember: These clocks routinely sell for no less that $150-200 on . And this clock is Very Special (check out the video below). Also, BUY QUICK! Who knows how long it will be before someone decides I can't sell this awesome clock.
