Paranorman Screen-used Witch Statue Head And Historical Plaque:
Original screen-used Witch Statue head and historical plaque from Paranorman.(Focus Features, Laika Entertainment, 2012) In the film’s story, the town of Blithe Hollow commissioned a bronze statue of a witch with accompanying historical plaque commemorating the famous capture of a witch from 300 years ago. The revelation comes that the centuries-old witch’s curse is real. Both the witch statue head and the plaque can be seen after the mob scene at the Town Hall when the witch rips the statue off the base and drops it, causing it to break into pieces. Both pieces are fashioned of resin and hand-painted to appear like weathered bronze. The witch head measures 7 ½ in. and the plaque 7 1/8 in. x 4 7/8 in. Included is a letter of authenticity from LAIKA’s studios in Oregon, where the stop-motion-animated feature was lovingly hand-crafted on-site. The head and plaque exhibit minor chipping to the finish and are mounted on a wooden base. These screen-used items were donated by Focus Features and LAIKA with 100% of the proceeds from this sale going to Variety – The Children’s Charity of Southern California in order to fund much needed lifesaving support for disabled, abused, physically challenged and underprivileged children in the Southern California community.
