George IV (1762 – 1830), king of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and king of Hanover following the death of his father, George III, on 29 January 1820, until his own death ten years later. From 1811 until his accession, he served as Prince Regent during his father's final mental illness. Henry Addington, 1st Viscount Sidmouth, PC (1757 – 1844), British statesman, and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1801 to 1804.ARoyal Pardon (1817), signed by George IV, as Price Regent and countersigned by Viscount Sidmouth, as Home Secretary.The document is folded and discolored. There are clean tears on several folds. There is also a small piece of old tape on a tear. The second page does not have a green hue, as the image shows.
