Model: Parker "51" Mark I-B Vacumatic.
Size: Parker Mark I-B (as the vacumatic are referenced on the website listed below) . Length of pen with cap on is 137mm, 5 3/8 inches (5 3/8").
Style or Design: Parker "51" Vacumatic.
Color: Parker Color - Cordovan Brown, which appears a burgundy (Burgundy- Burgundy is a red color associated with the Burgundy wine of the same name, which in turn is named after the Burgundy region of France.) barrel with a black blind cap and black nib casing.
Type: Vacumatic filling system with plastic plunger hidden behind blind cap.
Barrel: Cordovan Brown and Black barrel. The barrel is signed - marked, "PARKER '51'", "REG . T . M . 640 . 244" and "MADE IN ENGLAND". This imprint is up towards the body clutch ring. This imprint is three lines starting with "PARKER '51'" on first line, then "REG . T . M . 640 . 244" second line and then the third line, "MADE IN ENGLAND". This imprint was two lines from 1942 forward. This pen was manufactured in 1946. The barrel and tip are 125mm, 4 7/8 inches (4 7/8") in length.
Clip: Gold Parker Arrow clips. Clip is 42mm, 1 5/8 inches (1 5/8") in length.
Cap: Grey Jeweled Top. Gold cap with GF clip and GF cap band. Cap is hallmarked below Clip, "PARKER". On the back side it is hallmarked, "51" and below the "51" it is hallmarked, "1/10 20 CT R GOLD". Referred to as the Custom, Gold filled with alternating 4 vertical lines and plain band. Cap is 64mm, 2.5 inches (2 1/2") in length. See pictures for details.

Filler System: Vacumatic. The plastic plunger filler (1940-1948). The plastic plunger filler works - functions perfectly. Press it down and it returns automatically. The reservoir sack appears to functions as designed. I have not tested it with ink, nor do I guarantee it to hold ink. See pictures for details.
Year – Time Period: The Parker "51" Mark I-B Vacumatic were manufactured in the U.S.A. from 1942 to 1948. In England (Newhaven) Parker started manufacturing the "51" Vacumatic in 1947 and ended in 1948.
Condition: Very Good condition but with most vintage pens it has minor scuffs marks. No breaks, no chip and no cracks. Please view all pictures for details.
