1845 Pattern British Naval Seaman’s Cutlass with original leather scabbard. Overall sword is in veryfine condition. Blade is in finecondition and has not been sharpened or altered. Top of blade has stamping,HEIGHINGTON. Left side of blade has stamping,crown B 15 (1915 date) Original leather washer ispresent. Steel guard has most of theoriginal black paint. Steel grip .Original brass mounted, brown leather scabbard is in good condition with age scuffs and chipping. Scabbard is short showing about 1/4\" of blade because of my dry climate,but does pull down.(see photo). Sword in scabbardis 35 ½ inches. Blade is 28 3/4 inches. 1 1/2 inches wide at guard.
