A beautiful collectible stamp issued on May 26th, 1999 to honor the Peace Corps which was officially created by President John F. Kennedy in 1961. Since then, more than 150,000 Americans have served as peace Corps volunteers in over 100 host countries.
This Peace Corps stamp design was based on an illustration by Norman Rockwell that appeared in Look magazine on June 14th, 1966 entitled: "The Peace Corps in Ethiopia".
These stamps have never been used and are as fresh as the day they were sold at the Post Office 33 years ago! Suitable for framing, they would make a great gift to anyone who has worked in the Peace Corps and is a must have item for every JFK memorabilia collector!
