A wonderful, rare, and hard to find antique 19th Century blue and white transferware 10" soft paste pearlware wide rimmed soup bowl or plate made by Robert Hamilton of Stoke,England. Depicts a fanciful oriental scene by a river with men and a dog. Beautiful fruit and flowers border.Dates to 1811-1826. Has an impressed mark that says Hamilton Stoke.
Plate is in good antique condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs. Has staining and crazing visible on the bottom and a few flecks of excess glaze on the bottom from the firing process. Has a few utensil marks.
