Pelikan\'s latest Limited Edition Maki-E Fountain Pen, \'Spring & Autumn\' features cherry blossoms and maple leaves drawn on the pen\'s cap and barrel. Gold leaf is employed to create three traditional Japanese designs on the cap. These include flowing water in green, a hemp leaf in brown, and a golden stripe. The blue abalone shell on the barrel creates a Raden effect. A never ending line pattern is drawn in violet stripes, representing eternal love. The finishing touches include the use of the Harikiri technique, which entails generously sprinkling gold powder over a design and then carefully removing it with a needle in selected areas so that the original design shows through the gold dust. The \'Spring & Autumn\' is a masterpiece that combines the over 175 years of German craftsmanship with superior Japanese tradition.

Each fountain pen is individually numbered and signed by the artist. This series is limited to only 111 pieces worldwide. Every model is equipped with an 18 carat, bi-color gold nib and is encased in a traditional Japanese pen box made of Paulownia wood.
