This is a1797NR-JJ Nuevo Reino, ColombiaCarlos IIII gold 8 Escudos severelyundergraded by PCGS MS63 SECURE Having collected SA gold escudos forover 40 years, I’ve owned 100’s and examined 1000’s & this 1797 is by farthe nicest one I’ve seen. The coin is amazing in that it has NO significantmarks, hit, dings, gouges or file marks. There are a few micro, light marks inthe obv. field, but they are so minor that they will not show in the photos. Additionally the coin is very well struckwith light toning and full mint bloom luster. The coin has NO flat spots &full rims. I think NGC would grade thisa MS 65 or better! Excessively Rare in this superior quality. When I purchasedit 5 years ago it was PCGS TIED FOR 2nd FINEST KNOWN, one higher in64.
