VERY VERY RARE- THE HOLY GRAIL FOR FIRE KING COLLECTORS! Beautiful, shiny and glossy Fire King Jadeite Jadite*PHILBE*Mug! These are not seen very often at all! I have had it myself for over 30 years in my china cabinet. This is the last one that I have! Gene Florence talks about these mugs in his books and states that they are not found very often, and are from the 1940's. He mentions that they were called "Philbe" in honor of Philip B. that worked at the glass plant. This vintage mug has sucha beautiful interior, so glossy and shiny you can tell no spoon has ever stirred inside the mug! And the outside has perfect detail and so so shiny. Very desirable and collectible! I have seen "chipped" or "flea-bitten" ones sell on for over 800.00, this mug is one of a kind in its perfection! Has never, never been used!!

I have been collecting for over 30 years, and had most all of these Jadeite and non- Jadeite Fire King pieces before Martha Stewart made them famous.I will be happy to email you more pictures, or if there is a special piece you have been looking for, let me know. Check out my other sales and you will see my cabinets full of glass. There may be a few of the usual ash/mold/straw/white marks, typical of Fire King wares of this era. This mug has only one very thin very unnoticeable white straw mark that comes from the factory manufacturing, you cannot even see it in the photos. If you do not know what these manufacturing marks are, please ask before offerding. They are simply an expected part of the inexpensive manufacturing process used when making this vintage glassware, and are accepted as "beauty marks" by true collectors. THANK YOU!
About me, I have been carefully displaying green glass in my 8 (not kidding) china cabinets for years! I have 5 rescued retired greyhounds that I am supporting , and want to sell some pieces. Green has always been my favorite color, so I have green Depression glass, jadeite green FireKing, other non-green Fire King, some pottery such as Weller and McCoy, and much more! I really want these pieces to be treasured as much as I have treasured them through the years! The fact that some of these dishes have been around almost a hundred years is amazing, and I want them around alot longer!
Check out my response, I have shipped many, many pieces to Japan with no problems ever. I packvery well and send it safe!I also had a piece of glass bought by a collector and then donated to a glass museum! THANKS
