This is an exceptional turn of the century Persian coin silver fire lotus covered bowl.
In raised circular form. Elegant gently scallop chased leaf and floral rim. Cover and base adorned with brilliant hand carved fire lotus medallion, alternating with leaf and floral sprays. Set against satin surface. Scrolling florette and vine borders.
The thick well cast cover with spear tip paneled finial.
Equally well cast shaped elephant ear handles.
Persian fire lotus bowl is 6 1/4 inches across handles. Thick heavy guage solid silver weighs 9 standard ounces.
Excellent condition. Rich, lustreous silver patina throughout. Cover closes flush. The brilliantly carved fire medallion and lotus retain their original hand chased detail.
