This is an exceptional early century Persian coin silver fire tray or plate.
Completely hand decorated.
In classic circular form.
Brilliant hand raised leaf and florette rim. Followed by rich hand chased fire lotus and bird medallion. United by swirling and interwoven vine, in the Persian fashion.
The recessed centre with large brilliant star burst floral medallion. Framed with lotus in varying form and stages of bloom.
This fine Persian fire lotus medallion tray is 9 3/4 inches. Exceptionally thick heavy guage solid silver weighs 13 standard ounces.
Excellent condition. Rich, lustreous silver patina throughout. The brilliantly carved fire medallion and lotus retain their original hand chased detail.
