This incredibly life-like glass paperweight of strawberries was made in 1986 by Perthshire Paperweights, Scotland, as part of the annual collection. The edition was originally intended to be 300, but only 218 were made.
It measures approx inches diameter. Two ripe strawberries with a central white flower, 3 buds, and leaves are set on a clear ground. There is a \"P\" signature cane at the bottom of the design. The weight is expertly faceted with one top facet, 12 side facets (4 large egg-shaped facettsseparating smaller eggs abover a circular facet.) The base has been polished flat then cross-hatched with a \'strawberry cut\'.
It is excellent condition - no chips, bruises, cracks.
