Here is a Gorgeous George III Marrow Scoop Made in 1792 by the Famous London Silversmiths, Peter and Ann BATEMAN, in Fully Hallmarked English Sterling Silver
The Marrow Scoop is Excellent Condition - Not Engraved

Here is an excellent, top quality, George III Marrow Scoop made by the famous London silversmiths, Peter and Ann BATEMAN.

This classic Marrow Scoop was made in 1792 in fully hallmarked English Sterling Silver.

The Marrow Scoop is un-engraved. The hallmarks are strong and clear.

This lovely Georgian marrow scoop has a traditional broad scoop on one end and a longer narrower scoop on the other.

The Marrow Scoop is overall in excellent condition, with only some minor wear consistent with its age and usage – see photographs.

The Marrow Scoop is nine and a quarter inches long (9.25 ins / 23.5 cms) and weighs over one and a half ounces (1.6 ounces / 45 grams) of hallmarked sterling silver.
This handsome Marrow Scoop is in lovely condition and has a fine soft patina.

The hallmarks shown above are the leopard’s head crowned the town mark for London, the letter “r” the date letter for 1792, the lion passant guarantee mark for English sterling silver, and the makers’ mark the initials “PB” over “AB” for the famous silversmiths, Peter and Ann Bateman – this a little rubbed, but easily identifiable – see photographs above.
