This is a Peters & Reed Landsun Ware \"Frog\" Flower Frog. The frog has a 4 1/2 inch base is 2 1/2 inches tall and has 7 holes to hold the flowers. It is unmarked except for some pencil marks on the bottom. The frog has a matte glaze and is hand decorated in realistic frog colors of green, brown and tan. The Peters & Reed Pottery has an interesting history. John Peters and Adam Reed were originally employees of Weller, having left Sam Weller’s pottery around 1898. Landsun was one of the few original Peters & Reed designs as many of the potteries pieces were copied from Weller. These pieces date from the early 1900s. This flower frog is pictured in \"Sanfords Guide to PETERS AND REED\" by Martha and Steve Sanford at page 44. The frog is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or mold flaws.I work very hard to correctly describe everything I sell but I am not perfect.
