Photo Postcard, rppc, aerial Town Vu,oceanside, oregon, distant Biplane On Beach, dpo For SaleOur reserve is the opening offer. We have a few more Oregon RPPCs listed. This is an interesting old Real Photo Postcard! It is captioned "Oceanside, Ore. 1930" and was taken by Bell. It is a great aerial view of Oceanside as well as a large expanse of the beach. Old Touring cars are parked in town and on the beach. In the distance there is also a Biplane on the beach. We noted this on the enlargement below. Oceanside is near Netarts, Oregon. The postmark is Netarts and this is a DPO or Decommissioned Post Office. The photo is in fair to ok condition. Please note the small crinkled area at the top edge at the middle. The postcard was punctured from the back side. The crinkles on the front lay flat and there is no paper loss. The corner tips are slightly bmped and there is a bump at the right edge half way down. If you turn the photo to catch glare, you see a very light and very short horizontal crease or crinkle at the left edge near the bottom corner. The postcard is a little under 5 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches. What a nice view of Oceanside! Please email questions and we welcome info. We pack with great care using heavy cardboard and will combine purchases to you shipping costs, but you MUST WAIT for our invoice in order to receive these savings. Please email any questions regarding packing, shipping, payment and description. Thank you.
The colored text does not appear on the actual postcard. The photo is a nice brown with a slight golden tone and has very good contrast. The lower right corner has a slight bluish tinge.
The photo has a little less red tones than seen below.
