His unit numbers were obtained from his service record, found in the book \"Chennault\'s Flying Tigers WWII 50th Anniversary\". They read as follows; Inducted 1943 Detroit, MI., Military locations include Camp Kohler, CA., Drew Field, Tampa Florida, Myikyina, Burma with the 558th Signal Aircraft Warning Bn., served with the 319th, 1st Air Combat Group, then to Calcutta, India, with the 497th Port Bn.
