You may buy as many as you need. Often beginners are unable to seal the open holes with their fingers, and so use plugs to seal the holes until they learn the proper hand position required. These plugs are made by hand out of a thin 7/16" diameter sterling silver disk and a cork. The end of the cork is beveled for easy installation and universal fit (yes, they fit every brand, don't ask). Just press firmly into the hole. The silver disk sits flat on the key, and looks and feels better than common plastic plugs. The face of the disk is microetched to make it less slippery, improving your grip on the flute, but you can polish it to a high shine if you want.
