Polaroid 110b Camera - Modified For Film Pack By Four Designs Co. For Sale
At sale is a Polaroid 110B camera made by Polaroid of USA between 1960 and 1964. The camera was modified by the Four Designs Co. to convert it to use the latest Polaroid film packs. That puts this camera in the same class as the Polaroid 180 or the Polaroid 195. In fact, it is better than those cameras because the 110B has an amazingly sharp Rodenstock lens. Though Polaroid film is no longer available, Fuji makes two wonderful film packs of instant film in film packs. The Fuji FP-100c, with an ISO of 100, is a wonderful color film with resulting prints that are far better in contrast, sharpness and color rendition than the Polaroid products were. The Fuji FP-3000p, with an ISO of 3000, is a black & white film but I do not have any personal experience with it. Both of these films can be used with this camera. The camera functions well in all respects. The 127mm f/4.7 Rodenstock-Ysarex lens is clean and clear with no scratches, fungus or haze. The aperture ring works smoothly and easily. The diaphragm blades are free of oil, grease, and rust. The diaphragm blades within the lens has stops ranging from f/4.7 to 45 and, there is a flip down lens cap that has a machined pinhole in the center that will provide an aperture of /90! With that feature, when the focus is set at 4 feet, everything from 22 inches to ∞ is in focus! The shutter speed ring also works smoothly and easily. The Prontor-SVS shutter, with speeds B, 1 - 300, works well at all speeds. The speeds sound about right. The shutter blades are also free of oil, grease, and rust. The focus control, located on the front door, works smoothly and easily. The viewfinder/rangefinder is bright and clear with nice, bright frame lines. The rangefinder focus spot is bright and has ample contrast. The frame lines move automatically to provide parallax correction while focusing. The bellows is in great condition with no tears, misfolds, holes, or light leaks. The print rollers are clean and without any chemical residue. The camera is in mint- condition with only the most minor signs of use. This camera looks almost like new. This camera is both usable and collectable.
