This is an exceptional pair of Kathodion Bronze Works Female Figural Nude Bookends. The bronze clad slim female is leaning up against what appears to be a fountain. She has one leg in the water and the other is bent at the knee. Her head is bent and her arms are leaning against the rocks.

Kathodian (we\'ve seen it spelled both ways) was only in business from 1914-1917 in NYC. The copyright trademark is stamped on the back. Great patina -- her body appears to have a brown appearance. The bookends measure 9-1/2 inches in height. The base measures 5-1/2 inches at its widest point x about 4 inches in depth.
