This beautiful and unique pair of Kakiemon type Arita Porcelain Imari plates date from the Edo Period c. 1725. They depict distant mountains, undulating rivers, water wheels. rolling waves and flower blossoms. The reverse of the dishes are decorated with a typical Karakusa lotus scroll border. The plates have a maker\'s mark within a double square and a set of three spurs. They are 8.25\" in diameter and about 1.25\" in height. These plates have no chips, cracks or other notable imperfections.
