1/9th plate daguerreotype showing a child in bed awaiting death. (Or possibly postmortem) The child is dressed in a fancy dress with frilled collar and tassels. Subject\'s hand rests on a book and a ring can be seen on the finger. There is some light tarnish around edges and some tiny mat scratches. No seals present. Housed in a union case (Berg #3-354). Case has a few chips and hairline cracks around edges. Felt pad needs to be glued back in place.
