Simply precious,4 1/2\" tall, antique German, all bisque Kewpie doll, circa 1913, (100 years old)with jointed arms having starfish hands, legs molded together to stand,(designed bythe famed illustrator and designer, Rose O\'Neill). He has perfectly molded and painted BLUE wings, good coloring with proper shading, molded and painted tufts of blond hair, huge side-glancing, googlyeyes with highlights, lashes, smiling (watermelon shaped) mouth, tiny eyebrows andpink blush to his cheeks. He still has his original round, Rose O\'Neill paper label. Incised signature on the base of his feet. Great wedding or anniversary gift and willalso make a lovely gift for a new baby. Heis in extremely good conditionwith (only a tiny flake on the back of his pointed topknot, hair) no other nicks or chips, no hairlines and no cracks. Other items shown are not included and listed separately. He has had no repairs orproblems and makes a wonderful addition to your antique Valentine dolls. We\'ll also be listing a variety of antique and vintage Kewpie and Cupie dolls (including two other, eyes glancing to each other, all bisque 4 1/2\" dolls, to match this little sweetie so you can make your own wedding party, not included) during this month as seen in last few photos.
