32\" X 26\" poster print of President Harry S. Truman by Truman White House Artist Greta Kempton (1903-1991) is from the collection of the late Dr. Larry Klugman, Professor of Political Science, Decatur, Illinois. The poster is signed by both Truman and noted Vienna-born artist Kempton. A well-established, commissioned portrait painter, Greta Kempton worked in California during the 1930\'s. She later worked in New York City, and did restoration over a period of several years of paintings for the Church of the Transfiguration where her ashes rest in the columbarium. Included is a catalog from the Greta Kempton Exhibition at the Harry S.Truman Library, Independence, Missouri help April 11 - October 12, 1987. The catalog contains many color and black/white pictures of Kempton\'s portraits of the Truman Family, the Truman Administration and other works of the artist. The signed poster with both signatures may be seen by arrangement in Decatur, Illinois. The words from the published print margin below the Truman portrait are pictured. The poster will be mailed in uncreased, gently folded or loosely rolled condition. Local pickup is encouraged. Damage in the white lower right margin area is pictured.
