Subject(s): The inauguration of President Grant on March 4 1869 at the US Capitol. There are US Flags and decorations, and many people around.

Other: Seems to be uncommon in stereoview format. I was able to find a cabinet card version of the image in an archive, and a sale for a larger mounted photograph at Cowans.

Condition: Some scratching/soiling. A few scuffs. Small tear area on the left image near the left edge center. The mount has corner/edge wear and soiling.
