Up for sale is this Prewar Lionel 1666 Train Set. The set consists of a Lionel 1666 Engine, a Tender that has no number I can find. Also comes with two 2630 Pullman cars, and a 2631 Observation car.The set is in good overall condition the following condition issues listed below:
The 1666 Engine is in good untested,condition, has all trucks, wheels, and rods, missing one of the green jewels and the glass headlight looks chipped. Another issue is that the bar on the back of train cab that connects right under the 1666 number is separated and bent. See pictures. The Tender has over spray and blue paint on it and has the usual scratches, the cars appear to be in good complete complete condition lettering is gone on one car, the blue painted metal on the cars appears to be in good overall shape, the silver roofs have some missing paint and surface rust, very light so a sanding and respray and they would look great. Pictures show the ones you will get. Use them for more condition description to make your judgement on worth. Tender is the weakest car and likely not one you would want for this, the engine is not perfect, has wear on paint on edges and beat up a little. Sorry I ran out of picture room for the engine. Cars are the real reason to buy in my opinion, with a little sand and paint on roofs they could look really good.
