An outstanding wooden Butter Stamp or Mold, NorthEastern US, possibly Lancaster County, PA, ca.1840. Constructed of turned and hand-carved pine, this 3-3/4\" circular press features an American Eagle surrounded by Laurel Branches and a pointed Moravian Star. Deeply-carved with very fine details throughout, this mold will feature prominently in any collection. Wonderful patina and subject matter; highly-appropriate for the advanced collector.Condition: Excellent overall. Edge and surface wear consistent with age and use. Minor loss to areas on the coggled surround and upper wings. Also, a slight check at the 10 o\'clock position. See photos for complete details and close-ups.
