Qsa Queen’s South Africa Medal Australian Imperial Bushmen For Sale
An original QSA disc from which most of the naming has been erased, however, from what remains it is possible to identify the recipient.
The readable naming is: 3*19 TPR. H. B***I*** N.S. ****S I.B.
After doing some searching on the QSA Rolls on Ancestry I can find only one match for this and it is 3419 Tpr. H. Berriman of the 3rd New South Wales Imperial Bushman. He was entitled to the clasps Cape Colony, Orange Free State & Transvaal.
As can be seen the medal has no suspension. As well as the erasing there numerous small rim dings and bumps and a large dent between SOUTH & AFRICA.
At least it has survived and did not go into the melting pot a some time!!
