Quilled Tri-pipestem W/catlinite Bowl Replica For Sale
Replica of an Eastern Sioux quilled pipe with catlinite bowl. The quilling is done using the single quill wrapping method which was typical of Eastern Sioux pipes. This is a seldom seen style but used extensively in the old days. The over all length, with attached bowl is 28 inches. The catlinite bowl is 7 inches long and 3.5 inches high. The traditional, solid, one piece ash stem is 22 inches long, 2 1/4 inches wide at the bowl and 2 inches wide at the mouthpiece. The three hand carvedtubular quilled sections measure 9 inches.
