- Appointment of David Frederick Allenas Ensign on the 18th of January 1856
- Document is matted but not framed and is in AMAZINGLY good condition. Paper is very clean, printing and ink are very bold and it\'s clear that this document hasn\'t been handled very much! Pictures have not done justice to the beauty of this document!!
- Signed by Sir Edward Lugard
DOCUMENT TWO
- Promotion of David Frederick Allen to Captain on the 11th of October 1865
- Document signed by George F. Robinson, 1st Marquess of Ripon. Robinson was a VERY prominent political figure and held many positionsof historical significance, including Viceroy of India. He was serving as the Secretary of State for War at the time of this documents signing. Read more about him...VERY interesting guy!
- Condition is very good, consistent with its age and purpose. Some minor color toning on the front and the 3rd fold (on the right, top of the fold line) shows wear and minor separation. The back of the document shows similar toning and some staining from handling.
- Signed by Sir Edward Lugard
