R. Blackinton Gilded Sterling Silver Guilloche Enamel Lipstick Holder Chatelaine c1900-1920 R. Blackinton Co. sterling silver lipstick holder. Chain allows it to be easily attached to a "chatelaine." Ladies often wore a chatelaine with useful accessories attached. Please see all photos as they are a large part of the description.
Dimensions: 2" long, 1/2" acrossWeight: 9.74 grams
Hallmarks: STERLING, an R, a B with a sword through it, and Co., all in separate lozenges; 9601Condition: EXCELLENT vintage condition with minimal age-appropriate wear. Enamel is in remarkable shape, considering its age, with only two tiny spots of wear on the edge. No dings, bruises or dents. Lever that moves lipstick operates smoothly. Gilding shows wear, as would be expected with an item dating to the early 20th century. Could use a good polish, which I will leave to the new owner.
