The Crock is EMPTY.
LARGE - 1-Gal. Size
* I do not know its precise age, but my research suggests that this all-white design was made in the late 1800s, or possibly as late as 1900. There are others that have sold in a 1/2-gallon size. This one is a 1-GALLON crock.Approx. 11\" tall x 7\" diameter at base
Condition Details
Here you have my best good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind, though, that vintage and antique items always show their age, and in many different ways -- (Don\'t we all!?) --so please expect that there will be something about this item that you won\'t be thrilled with. It\'s being sold as-is. Please read my best attempt at full disclosure:
- Lovely as-found antique condition.
- These crocks were made for utility, not beauty, so the glaze has some rough spots from the firing process. There\'s also a lot of age-appropriate crazing. All of this gives it the authentic rustic/primitive look you would expect of a crock that\'s over 100 years old (as I believe it is).
***PLEASE NOTE*** that the entire bottom of the crock became detached -- a \"clean break\" -- and was repaired at some time in the past. The adhesive used is darker than the crock, so you can see the repair in the photos. But they did a pretty good job, because I filled it with water and it was not leaking for me. BUT please be aware of this repair. I would recommend buying this for its decorative value only, and NOT storing liquid in it.
Please supersize all photos, and ask any questions, before offerding.
