Rare ~ Kerr Solid Sterling Silver Lady Belt & Buckle Antique Victorian Nouveau For Sale
Up for a sale, is an INCREDIBLE and RARE antique sterling silver ladies belt made by William Kerr & Co. The belt buckle features a beautiful lady, and each link has a high relief flower and gorgeous nouveau swirls. This is a very beautiful and special original Art Nouveau period belt. The belt measures 26" long, but has an additional link (shown in the 6th picture) which would extend the belt to 29" if desired. The belt is in overall excellent condition with no splits, holes or repairs. There are a couple of very tiny dings, which are not very noticeable. The piece is clearly marked "Sterling 1134" with the William Kerr axe hallmark. The belt weighs 5.5 ounces, which is very substantial for a belt.
