Rare 1795 Early American "land Grant" Pennsylvania 1795 For Sale
This is an Original 18th century American"LAND GRANT" , from Pennsylvania, dated "1795". Large, single-sheet document, one-sided (back side is blank except for ink labeling). Size: approx. 8" by 13 1/4". Partly-printed/partly-handwritten in brown ink on Fine, laid paper w/ Watermark. Neatly folded (now unfolded). Nice Condition overall, w/some VERY Light "foxing"/staining + document has some small "edge-tears", also several TINY "pin-holes" (chiefly along some of the old "fold-lines"); otherwise, o.k. ....ThisEarly American documentis dated "the twenty second of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety-five" (1795). Itis a completed Application for 400 acres of land in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania for THOMAS GORDON issued by the Land-Office in Philadelphia. Signatures at bottom of page.
